American NASA astronaut Scott E Parazynski, tethered to a rail in the payload bay during Extravehicular Activity (EVA) against a backdrop of a cloud-covered ocean during Space Shuttle Atlantis mission STS-86, 26th September to 6th October 1997. STS-86 mission is the seventh Shuttle/Mir docking mission and is part of the NASA/Mir program, consisting of nine Shuttle-Mir docking missions in total.
